For apps that verify accounts using phone numbers, you’ll need a different phone number for each account.

If you’re using biometrics now without a secure screen lock type, you’ll be able to continue after the upgrade, but changing to a secure screen lock type is recommended. When you switch to a non-secure screen lock type (Swipe or None), biometric authentication is suspended for unlocking and for verification in apps like Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass. – To improve your security, features that use biometrics (face, fingerprints, and irises) are only available when you use a secure screen lock type (pattern, PIN, or password). The full changelog is available below and on Samsung’s website. S8 owners will be glad to know that Samsung says this update should also improve performance to some degree. The company also points out improvements to its keyboard, “Edge Screen,” and other built-in features.
Some of these changes include improvements to Samsung’s keyboard and emoji, as well as newly added support for app shortcuts on Samsung’s default launcher. As previously announced, “Samsung Experience 9.0” is what brings Samsung’s new features to Oreo on the S8, and it adds quite a few new things on top of Google’s built-in changes. While we already know most of what’s new in Samsung’s take on Android Oreo thanks to infographics and hands-on time with the update, it’s great to see clarification on everything that’s new. After beta programs and regional rollouts, Samsung has finally given us more information on its Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 with an official changelog.
